Cakes – Brett & Bailey Joe says “This Saturday we’re welcoming the return of a couple of summer smashers. As we’re on the cusp of cherry season, it’s time to bring back the B&B take on the dessert trolley classic – a boozy Black Forest gateau. You’ll find it on the stall alongside our Melba squares – light and lemony yoghurt sponge topped with shimmering rows of perfectly ripe peaches and raspberries. Both of these are divine with a generous spoonful of whipped cream.
Summer doesn’t end there – try a slice of limoncello-drizzled strawberry and white chocolate gateau; a scrumptious raspberry bakewell with crumbly shortbread and fudgy frangipane; or an old favourite such as double carrot cake; chocolate Guinness cake; white chocolate and passionfruit cheesecake; sticky buns; cardamom knots; indulgent brownies with Belgian Fairtrade 70% dark chocolate; and plenty of soft and pillowy bomboloni filled with pistachio cream.
